Yes. Unfornuately, in Washington State you are required to appear at every Pre-Trial Hearing and Trial. Some Courts will waive your appearance at Jury Trial Readiness (are you ready for trial hearing) Occasionally, I will ask a Judge to excuse/waive my client's appearance at a hearing. (i.e. family emergency or missing too much work) However, it is typically only for a hearing or two. If you do not appear - a warrant will be issued for your arrest in most cases.
